A poor performance from the ref ruined what should have been an entertaining game.  Vics took the lead in 43mins with a great goal from Gary Taylor, who has just returned to the club.  However, his goal was slightly overshadowed 2mins later when Rab Madden let loose with a 25 yard bullet which the keeper was slow to react to.  Vics went in at the break two up, looking the hungrier of the two sides.

Early on in the second half Saltcoats pulled one back with a free kick courtesy of Jamie Forrest.  Vics continued to play well and saw out the game to end Saltcoats unbeaten run in the league.
