Vics were up against from the start for this fixture with the team having to be altered due to late call offs.
Dalry went ahead, before Vics could get organised, when Willie Hutson scored and an error by David Dunlop allowed them to go two ahead not long after.
It was a frustrating game for Vics, who were by far the better footballing team, but were unable to turn their pressure into goals. Turning point could have came about when Stuart Little was pulled down in the box but the referee denied them their stonewall claim.
Vics' day of bad luck continued when substitute Keiran Bates was sent off for a challenge that gave the referee no option but to show the striker a red card.
